Philadelphia Landlord Tenant Court

Philadelphia property manager, Joe White, walking to Philadelphia Landlord Tenant Court.

00:00  so I've got landlord-tenant court today
00:03  and I also have another court appearance
00:04 tomorrow the problem with today is
00:07 tomorrow actually I have an upgraded
00:09 attorney fit for the task they actually
00:12 have a $500 attorney $500 doesn't get
00:15 you much of an attorney what kind of got
00:19 into this problem is is it's a landlord
00:22 tenant eviction and we basically just do
00:25 it as a precaution
00:27 we knew the tenant was gonna move out
00:28 anyways we just started the process just
00:31 in case we needed
00:32 well the tenant moved out as expected
00:34 the problem is is the tenant then turned
00:37 around and got himself an attorney
00:39 what's kind of goofy about this is how
00:42 it kind of works when we fix somebody is
00:44 we basically just want them out so we
00:47 don't bring a judgment against them we
00:48 don't actually take any action against
00:49 him since he already moved out anyway so
00:51 you could've went his own way
00:52 this guy was kind of smart you can
00:54 called it an attorney the attorney took
00:57 his money for nothing you know it's it's
01:00 just attorneys and so now since he got
01:04 an attorney and it's a $4,000 rental and
01:06 a love fortune you know we at this point
01:09 turn around said hey you're going to pay
01:11 an attorney you could pay us something
01:13 so now we're actually stuck in this my
01:16 attorney kind of stinks I actually give
01:18 them a very clear direction told them
01:19 listen call the opposing counsel
01:22 tell them to speak to me or ask them
01:25 what they want if they don't give you an
01:28 answer that's consistent with what but
01:30 I'm hoping to get then turn around and
01:32 ask simply for $300 this point I just
01:34 want to grab whatever kind of pistol
01:36 dollars for my client I can get if they
01:39 still won't go on down to $2,000 $2,000
01:43 is better than nothing
01:44 well pretty sure the attorney didn't
01:47 actually contact the opposing counsel
01:49 because basically in idiot in his $500
01:52 attorney so we're going to go into
01:53 landlord-tenant court hopefully this
01:56 will go smooth without bumps
01:59I'll check us
